Hey Heartstopper fans! Looking for more Nick and Charlie content?

Unfortunately, I can’t give you a date for the next season of the queer hit series (I’m looking at you Netflix). However, I can tell you about the new book author Alice Oseman is releasing. Titled “Nick and Charlie,” the novella takes place years after the events of season one. We have seen these two overcome school bullies and one full-on gay crisis, but now they have to face a new challenge. College.

Oseman celebrated the book on social media and shared a look at the adorable cover with Nick and Charlie cuddled up in bed. “As the time to say goodbye gets inevitably closer, both Nick and Charlie start to question whether their love is strong enough to survive being apart,” reads the book’s synopsis.

“Everyone knows first loves rarely last forever. What will it take for Nick and Charlie to defy the odds?”

“My novella, NICK AND CHARLIE, is out today in the US and Canada!” Oseman wrote on Instagram. “I originally wrote this short story in 2015, which was before Heartstopper ever existed. It was only released on e-book in 2015, so it’s very cool that this gorgeous hardback now exists, eight years later. I was very excited to get to illustrate the cover once again! I hope you all enjoy this little story about Nick and Charlie’s last summer before Nick heads off to university!”

Heartstopper Takes Audiences By Storm

Based on Oseman’s graphic novel series, season one of Heartstopper follows Nick and Charlie at school as their feelings for each other grow. Spoiler alert: The season ends with them telling their friends and family and making their relationship official. The beloved coming-of-age rom-com stars Joe Locke, Kit Connor, Tobie Donovan, Yasmin Finney, and William Gao.

Following the first season’s success, Netflix renewed the series for two more seasons. Filming for season two began in September of 2022 and wrapped two months later. It is expected to premiere on the streaming service later this year.

But for those who need something to tide them over until then, run to your local bookstore and pick up a copy of “Nick and Charlie.”

Heartstopper fans can also enjoy this deleted scene Netflix released from season one. It shows a magical moment between Tao and Elle during one of the group’s sleepover parties. Check it out below!
