Ben Platt proposed to his boyfriend of two years, Noah Galvin, over the holiday weekend. “He agreed to hang out forever.”
The Broadway babes announced their engagement on Instagram and shared adorable photos that make us thankful that love like this exists. Platt showed off the gorgeous ring on his account and said, “he agreed to hang out forever.” Meanwhile, his fiancé Galvin shared a similar post and wrote, “I said yeehaw and then cried for like 7 hours.”

From Broadway Stars to Fiancés
Platt and Galvin both played Evan Hansen in the Tony-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen. The Pitch Perfect star stepped down in 2016, and Galvin was one of the performers set to take his place. The two stayed connected and were close friends before they decided to take a leap and enter into a relationship in 2020.
“Ben and I are dating,” Galvin revealed during an episode of Ilana Levine’s Little Known Facts podcast. The two got together just before the pandemic and spent the beginning of the quarantine together. “We kind of skated around it for a long time,” Platt said during his appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Platt, who stars alongside Allison Janney and Kristen Bell in the new Amazon Studios comedy The People We Hate at the Wedding, proposed to Galvin at the Laser Wolf restaurant in Brooklyn.

“[Galvin] has a really unique ability to help me to … be present where I am and to make the life that’s happening day to day too wonderful to not want to be on the ground for it,” he told Out Magazine.
Besides Broadway, Galvin is known for his roles in television series The Good Doctor and The Real O’Neals.
