Because height matters.

Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez, who will play Alex and Henry in the film adaptation of Red, White & Royal Blue, have a message for all of us. And no, it’s not just about who is taller.

The stars recently got together in a TikTok video to officially announce filming for the Amazon Studios movie.

“We are in London on the set of Red, White & Royal Blue,” Perez says at the start of the video. “We are officially in production, and we can’t wait to bring Henry and Alex’s story to life,” added Galitzine.

From there, the video turned comedic as the actors began arguing about who is taller. It seems like they are already embracing their characters!

“You know I’m taller, right? Like three inches. I’m 6’5”.”

“Are we really doing this right now?”

What is Red, White & Royal Blue About?

Red, White & Royal Blue is an LGBTQ YA novel by Casey McQuiston which tells the love story of Alex Claremont-Diaz and Prince Henry of England. (P.S. it’s an enemies-to-lovers kind of story, just saying.) Alex is the charming Mexican-American son of the President of the United States, which basically makes him the equivalent of royalty in the states. He has a longtime rivalry with Prince Henry, but as the two are forced to spend more time together, they realize they were wrong about their feelings for each other. It’s not hatred at all. It’s love.

If you pick up the book ahead of the film, make sure you’re prepared not to put it down until you’ve read the last page. It’s that good.

The film also stars Uma Thurman, Stephen Fry, Rachel Hilson, Polo Morin, Clifton Collins Jr., and Sarah Shah and is directed by Matthew López (The Newsroom). Greg Berlanti, Michael S. Constable, and Michael Riley McGrath will produce.
