A Miss Argentina and former Miss Puerto Rico have made their secret relationship public by sharing moments from their wedding ceremony on Instagram. Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín tied the knot on October 28 at the Marriage Bureau in San Juan dressed in white.

“After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day,” the couple captioned the post. The shared video shows the two moments after they wed and also offers a glimpse into the memorable moments from their beautiful relationship, including their at-home engagement.

Their adorable love story began while representing Argentina and Puerto Rico at the 2020 Miss Grand International pageant in Thailand. Same-sex marriage is still illegal in Argentina but has been legal in Puerto Rico since 2015.
Friends and fellow beauty queens congratulated the happy couple online, prompting Valentín to post a message on her Instagram story. “How nice it is to read each message. Thank you all for your words and good wishes.”
