Luke Baines, known for his role in the supernatural drama series Shadowhunters, opened up about his sexuality and dating life in a recent Instagram post.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have been in love twice — the first time with a woman, the second with a man,” the caption reads.
Baines also shared photos capturing what appears to be moments in his relationships. The first shows the shadows of a couple holding hands over the words ‘F***, I think I love you,” and the second is a handwritten note that says, “you are perfect to me.” Adorable!

Every year the LGBTQ+ community celebrates many individuals’ coming out stories, including ones shared by our favorite celebrities. Though some may argue the act of “coming out” is less necessary in today’s society, a few users who commented on Baines’s post proved why it’s still essential.
When celebrities publicly come out, they’re publicly telling queer people “it’s okay to be who you are”. They’re showing queer kids that what their parents think of them is not what the world will think of them and that they’re worthy of love.
