Fernando Guzzoni’s critically-acclaimed father-son drama-thriller Jesús just hit Amazon Video and Google Play, and we’re beyond turned on.
The 2017 flick has an 82 percent Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and The Hollywood Reporter addressed the sex scenes explicitly in its review.
“Jesús‘ sex scenes are pretty explicit but this actually serves a purpose, as the studiedly careless way in which Guzzoni has choreographed and shot them helps suggest something about the character’s more than casual attitude towards intimacy.”
Based on a true story, Jesús takes place on the gritty streets of modern Santiago, Chile. It’s a dark coming-of-age tale about a bisexual teenager who joins a street gang. The titular character, eighteen-year-old Jesús (Nicolás Durán), is ensnared in a circle of sex, drugs, apathy, and a fascination with violence. Although it’s a superbly shot and well-acted film, it’s the explicit sex scenes that have everyone talking.
At the beginning of the film, Jesús gets an unsimulated blowie from a woman. Then, later in the movie, he gets to third base with a fellow gang member (Sebastián Ayala). The two actors, Durán and Ayala, engage in a wildly intense lovemaking session complete with throbbing erections.
