On the episode, her total earnings totaled $706,800, which beat out the previous record held by Larissa Kelly. However, there was no bad blood between the women. Kelly took to Twitter to congratulate Schneider on her accomplishment.

“Well, it was fun to hold a Jeopardy record for a few years…but it’s been even more fun to watch @Jeopardamy set new standards for excellence on the show and off. Congratulations to Amy on becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show’s history!” she wrote.

Schneider, who is trans, quickly wrote back, saying, “Thanks so much, I’m honored to be in your company, and I look forward to someday watching the woman who beats us both!”

What other Jeopardy milestones has Amy Schneider accomplished?

This marks Amy Schneider’s second time making history on Jeopardy. Last month, she became the first trans contestant to qualify for the Tournament of Champions. The series top 15 earning contestants face off in the annual competition.

Following the qualifying episode, Schneider says she is proud to be trans, but that’s not all she is.
“I am a trans woman, and I’m proud of that fact, but I’m a lot of other things, too!”

In her Twitter thread talking about her historic win, she took the opportunity to highlight the Trans Lifeline and the Transgender Law Center, which she says are organizations that are close to her heart. They’re close to our hearts too, Schneider!
