Tarlos fans rejoice! Our favorite ship from the first-responder drama is engaged!

Warning: 9-1-1 Lone Star season three finale spoilers ahead!

Fans weren’t sure what to expect from the season finale of 9-1-1 Lone Star – the promos teased a building collapse and Owen on a stretcher. But what we didn’t expect was to see TK propose to Carlos at three in the morning.

How the Proposal Went Down

In this episode, TK (Ronen Rubinstein) reflects on all the hardships he’s been through, like his breakup, losing his mother, almost dying, and his father almost dying. There’s a lot to pick from. So when his boyfriend Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) starts updating his will and his father has a cancer scare, he starts thinking about his future.

Then, he decides to take action during the early hours of the morning and wakes up a tired Carlos.

“What, do you smell smoke? Is the lizard back?!” Carlos asks in a rush.

After calming him down, TK lets the question slip out. At first, Carlos thinks the proposal is just TK responding to all the trauma they have endured that week. But, after a heartfelt speech from his partner, he realizes his true intentions.

“It’s not drama. It’s not drama, it’s love,” TK tells him. “The kind that you can’t get away from. And baby, my life has been scarred with loss, and at times it felt inescapable, but that’s the risk of love, right? For the first time in my life, the love that I feel is infinitely more powerful than the fear of losing it. And every moment that we’re not married is a wasted moment, and baby, we only get so many.”

Before he can continue, Carlos cuts in and says, “Tyler, can I say yes now?”

“I sure hope so,” TK replies.

“Then yes, a thousand times yes.”

AHHHH! We’re not crying; you are. Okay, it’s us. And according to executive producer Tim Minear, the use of TK’s full name was improvised by Silva. How sweet!

The merriment continued when the newly engaged couple arranged for their friends from 126 to come over so they could break the news. Group hugs all around!

What Happens Now?

The season three finale left us feeling warm and fuzzy and optimistic about what we will see unfold in season four. That’s right! FOX renewed the series for another season! We can’t wait to see Tarlos happy and engaged when 9-1-1 Lone Star returns.
