The internet star shared the photo again on Instagram to mark the first anniversary. She wrote, “in the last 365 days I’ve felt more love than ever. A year ago today I posted this picture and shared with the world that I was gay.”

“I get asked a lot ‘was coming out scary for you,’” she continued. “The answer is yes, of course, anything that’s different about you is scary, however… it’s what makes me… me. so I had no fear with sharing it with the world.”

She then addressed how she felt about telling her young fans that she’s gay. “Truthfully I feel like I was put on this earth to be a role model for kids, and letting all the kids of the world know that loving everyone for who they are no matter what is something that I will always believe in and always share.”

Siwa also took a moment to share a message with her fans, saying, “please never forget that no matter who you are, what you look like, who you LOVE that you are absolutely perfect.”

Love Is Love Is Love

“Thank you for showing me the most love throughout this year and throughout my entire life. I love you all,” she ended the post.

Many of her famous friends chimed in to celebrate Siwa living her authentic life. Gigi Gorgeous wrote “Love You” along with four red hearts, and Paris Hilton wrote “Love and miss you sis. ???? So proud of you!????????????????”

Since coming out, Siwa has had a busy including being a finalist on Dancing With The Stars and doing so with the show’s first same-sex partnership! She’s currently traveling across the country on her “D.R.E.A.M” tour!
