Straight Gigolo Answers Questions About His Work

Man laying on bed smiling

We discovered this Q&A on Reddit and thought it made for  a fascinating read. Here’s the TL;DR version: a straight male prostitute participated in an AskReddit discussion and openly discussed his experience servicing both men and women. Read on and learn more about the ins and outs of sexually-fluid sex work.

1. So…how did you get into the business? How much do you earn? I only ask ’cause I have been seriously considering the sex industry for a living.

Well, it all started when I was visiting my current town from Hawaii. I had a bunch of money, wanted to go out drinking and none of my friends were down. So I posted an ad on Craigslist asking if any girl/s would like to go out for a night on the town with me. I did get the responses I wanted but also received an email from a guy offering to pay me 60 bucks if I slept next to him in bed and cuddled. No sex. I declined but I never forgot that. Years later I had moved from Hawaii to my current city, lost my job and needed a way to pay the bills. So I posted an ad asking if any gay men wanted to cuddle with a cute straight boy for money. It worked but was very inconsistent. So I decided to offer more. First just massages and so on. Started offering the whole enchilada for women and some service for men. I knew there was money to be made and I found out on my own the best way to go about it. I charge 100 for a full hour.

2. What are your rates? Do you like what you do or is it something you did for fun and got stuck in?

I charge 100 for a full hour. Which for guys include about 30-40 min of sensual massage and the remaining min… you know what that’s for. For women I usually ask them what they want me to do and go from there. I really do like what I do. It was very weird and crazy at first but I have had a lot of fun, met tons of great people and made some decent money. I started doing it out of necessity and just ended up sticking with it.

3. Does your family know what you do for work?

My sister and my brother do. My parents don’t.

4. Could you describe a typical woman client? Are they hot? 🙂

My women clients are all very similar. Not what most would call attractive. Usually ages from 30 to 45 with very few outside that age range. They are usually larger women and some of them have definitely been a bit slow. Not retarded or anything but just a little dimmer then the average person. Nearly all are inexperienced. There have been a few that fall outside all those traits but it really is a rare occurrence. I’ve only had one client that I consider hot.

5. I have to ask: How do you get hard if your client is unattractive? And how do you keep going if your client is very attractive?

It’s not as hard…uhm… difficult as you’d think. Sure if you look at pictures of unattractive naked people it won’t turn you on and even if you try to imagine those people in the picture as being hot it still wouldn’t turn any one on. But in the moment I find it pretty easy to fantasize about other women or experiences. Either by closing my eyes or just letting my eyes slide out of focus and start picturing a more attractive woman. What works really well for me is thinking really hard about some of my favorite sexual encounters and my best orgasms. Well I don’t get very many attractive clients and really only one that I would consider hot. Really isn’t a problem. Any condom should keep you in the game long enough.

6. Have you ever worked for couples?

Yup. Both M/M and M/F couples. Not yet a F/F though my fingers are crossed. It’s actually more common then I would have thought prior to my experience in this. There are quite a lot of couples out there who are looking for something new to spice up their bedroom life. I honestly love when couples contact me. It’s so nice to see a couple experimenting and trying some new thing to keep the passion alive. A lot of my clients are in totally sexless relationships and I always wonder if the fire could get hot again if only they talked about some new sexual experiences and acted on them.

7. Isn’t it sketchy, or do you have some kind of affiliation/business?

I work on my own. Law enforcement isn’t something I have ever worried about. I just feel like there are more important things to do in the city then tracking down one male pro. As far as sketchy clients go I always read the messages beforehand carefully to weed out the weird sounding people. That is the first defense and it really works nearly 100% of the time in my experience. If the words someone is using give you a bad feeling then skip it. It’s not worth the money. I’ve only met up with one person in over a year that was creepy and all I did was hop out of his truck at a stop light and walked home. Again bad feeling in your gut then bail. I am a pretty big, strong guy as well and I always feel like I am capable of defending myself.

8. So you suck dicks but you’re straight?

I do consider myself straight and yes I do oral on men. It’s definitely not my favorite thing to do by any means but oddly enough I feel much more comfortable performing oral on a guy then having a guy perform oral on me. That always makes me feel super uncomfortable.

9. Do you pitch and catch with your male clients?

I do not. I get asked nearly every time though. Fun fact from my experience most gay men are catchers. I would say only 15 or 20 percent of the men ask me to be the bottom. The rest ask me to top them. I decline all of them of course. Obviously I don’t get the required hardness to top a man and I don’t like the feeling of anything going up my butt. Good thing there are other ways to please the fellas.

10. If you’re giving oral to the men, do you do that for the women, too?

Yup I do oral and the women that want it as well. There are some that don’t want it, though most do.

11. Do you ever serve as companion? That is, just cuddling or spending time with someone without doing anything sexual.

Yeah, I have before. It’s not the most common request but it happens.

12. Have you had many cringeworthy moments during a meeting with a client?

Not many but every now and then certainly. Something I did I think was cringeworthy. This woman was performing oral on me and her teeth kept scraping me. At the time for some reason flexing my Johnson made the pain less intense so I kept doing it. Well a few minutes into it the motion of flexing my Johnson so much made me squeeze out a very audible fart. I was so embarrassed. I’ve seen some thing’s on clients that are cringe worthy too.

13. Worst experience?

I really haven’t had anything particularly bad happen on the job. Nothing juicy. I will tell my two worst days though but they are pretty mild. I went to go see this new male client, hour and a half train ride to him, he was then 30 min late picking me up and on the way to his place he tells me that I have to sneak into his house because his family members are asleep. I say OK, sneak into his house and now it’s him and I in the room. I tell him to get undressed and lay on his back to start the massage (which is what we talked about before hand). He says no he wants to give me the massage and do all this stuff to me. I was already pissed about the train ride and him being late and him changing plans all of a sudden really got me angry. I said no that wasn’t what we talked about and we are doing it my way and he says no and he’s not going to pay. I told him he’s paying me half or I’m going to wake up his entire family… He ended up paying the full amount. Though now I was far away from the train station and very far from home… It was a long trip back. The second experience that was crappy was with an old regular of mine. He was always a really nice, respectful and helpful guy. He had been there for me a couple times when I needed help and I thought of him as a good friend. One day we made plans for him to pick me up at 10 in the morning and go to breakfast. He shows up at 7 A.M. I’m only slightly irritated by that, I let him in my room and immediately he starts putting his hands all over me, grabbing at my junk and stuff like that. At this point I am so sleepy and getting more pissy by the second. I tell him with just a slight edge on my voice to give me some space while I get dressed. Which he does for about a minuet. As soon as I sit on the bed to put my shoes on he walks up to me and thrusts his pelvic region right in my face. I got up very quickly and shoved him hard enough that he flew back and knocked up my TV. He looked like he was about to cry and I just said you have to go now. Not much of a story I know. I’ve been really lucky with my clientele.

14. Do you still have personal sexual interactions? Do you have a girlfriend? How do your personal partners feel about your job? Is sex still enjoyable even though it’s your job?

I do have a sex life outside or work. My sex drive would be a bit dampened if I had been with a female client but still I always made sure to love her like she was the only one. But my girlfriend died four months ago so now I don’t really have a normal sex life. It’s mostly due to not wanting to find a new lover but probably also partly due to already having sex for work and it has lowered my desire to seek it elsewhere. My girlfriend didn’t mind what I did as long as I was safe and open with her. She didn’t really like me seeing girl clients but she dealt with it. It certainly helped that most are not traditionally attractive and none even close to how pretty she was. And yes sex outside of work is still enjoyable. If it ever became different then a lifestyle change is an order. A positive, exciting and healthy sexual relationship is absolutely key to maintaining a relationship.

15. Are there any rules you have other than no penetrative sex with men? Have you had clients you really enjoyed having sex with? Does sex feel like work to you now? Do you still enjoy the act of sex?

Yeah, I have countless rules. No cumming in my mouth, face, chest, no spitting, don’t finger me are some of the major ones. Yea there are a couple that I always have a lot of fun with. Particularly this MILF…she is wild. Sex with a normal partner is still exciting for me. I don’t look at it like an extension of work or anything.

16. Why do you continue doing this?

I’ve met some really amazing people, people who I consider good friends now, the money is pretty decent for how little time I spend working every week and I’m good at it and getting better. It’s kind of an obsession now to become the best lover ever.

17. That just doesn’t sound healthy to me, though. Wouldn’t you rather have a job with a decent pay rather than being used for your body with a risk of STD or STI?

It’s a risk assessment. Do the risks of my current work(being used for my body, STI’s, possible violence) outweigh the benefits(very low hours, high pay)? That is very simplified btw. There are certainly other risks and other rewards. To me I enjoy the work mostly and will continue to do it til I find something better I imagine. And while there is a very real risk of STI’s being used for my body doesn’t bother me. It’s actually very flattering that people would pay me to do what I do.

18. Have you ever had a client (M or F) who was just so atrocious that you said no?

I had a male client who picked me up and by the time we had driven two miles he creeped me out so much I got out of his truck at a stoplight and just walked away.

19. If it isn’t a strange or private question, do you enjoy your work?

Not strange at all. I do enjoy it. I get quite a bit of satisfaction from pleasing others. It’s a lot of fun and it is sometimes a challenge like when I am with a woman that’s particularly hard to get off. But when I do, I always gets a rush and a sense of fulfillment. I even get satisfaction from pleasing the male clients even though I don’t enjoy it sexually. It’s a good feeling making people happy. Many of my clients rarely if ever experience orgasms brought on by another, and it’s nice I can do that for them.
