Shawn Mendes Strips Down For an Icy Polar Plunge

This year, Shawn Mendes gave his followers the ultimate Christmas present: A video showing him stripping down into his underwear.

“He’s getting undressed, what are you doin?” an unknown voice asked in the video shared on Shawn Mendes’ Instagram on Sunday.

The “Wonder” singer is standing by a semi-frozen stream wearing a cozy winter sweater and black boots. Standing next to his friend Brian Craigen, he takes a moment to prepare himself before beginning to remove his shoes. One-by-one, his clothes come off – apart from his black boxers – and he treads into the frigid water.

“It’s cold!” he exclaims while lying face-first in the stream. His friend is splashing around nearby. After a few more dips, the two men begin the journey back to their discarded clothes – giving us the perfect view of Mendes’ toned stomach.

“I can’t feel a thing,” Mendes says. “This is really good.”

Shawn’s Polar Plunge Gains Two Million Likes

As expected, the video was a hit, with many celebs praising the artist for his bravery.

“I’m here for all of that as a viewer,” wrote actress Laverne Cox. “Not interested in participating but I support this as quality Christmas ig content. LC approved!” Took the words right out of our mouth, Laverne!

“because i liked a boy ” singer Sabrina Carpenter jokingly commented on the post, “was it cold tho.”

“Can take the boy outta Canada but can’t take the Canada outta the boy,” wrote internet personality Nash Grier.

Gay Twitter definitely had something to say about the video.

Shawn, I am available if you need a cuddle to help warm you up after that plunge. Just putting that out there.
