Meet the Transfeminne Activist Who’s Breaking the Binary

Paolo J. Riveros

Addison Rose Vincent talks breaking the binary on the Pride podcast.

As humans, we put labels on everything we encounter because it helps us make sense of the world. In recent years, researchers have found that when we struggle to put something into a category, we like it less. But times are changing, and more people identify as non-binary.

Non-binary gender identity is any gender identity that does not fall within the strict categories of contemporary Western societies, which typically consider gender to be binary, e.g., either man or woman.
