Are Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton Dating?

In February, Gage and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton made waves on social media after sharing photos from their vacation in Punta de Mita, Mexico. Gage’s response to the rumors surrounding his love life reflects his stance on personal privacy. Despite being open about most aspects of his life, he is against the idea that everything needs to be public. “I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business, and nothing can be sacred. It’s a weird line that I’m still trying to figure out,” he explained.

Criticism of LGBTQ+ Roles

Apart from the rumors surrounding his love life, Gage also addressed the criticism he received for playing LGBTQ+ roles. In response to a Twitter user criticizing the number of LGBTQ+ roles he has played, Gage tweeted, “u don’t know my alphabet.” When asked if he feels pressure to label his sexuality, Gage stated, “all the time.” He revealed that an agent once told him to “pick a lane” and “stop dyeing [his] hair” to avoid confusion. Despite the pressure, Gage believes everyone should be able to play any role.

Lukas Gage and You Season 4

Gage’s recent interview comes after his debut in the fourth season of Netflix’s You, where he played Adam Pratt, the son of a wealthy East Coast family. His character served as a brand new foil for Penn Padgley’s toxic murderer, Joe Goldberg. Gage’s portrayal of Adam Pratt has been praised by fans and critics alike, showcasing his ability to take on diverse roles.
