The late Leslie Jordan is set to appear as a guest judge on the popular celebrity singing show, The Masked Singer.

This week’s The Masked Singer theme ties perfectly with the chosen all-star guest judge. The show will celebrate the greats with a Hall of Fame night while unveiling three new contestants “each considered the crème de la crème in their unique fields. A battle of the greats ensue and only one will be crowned king or queen, while two others will head home.”

After watching the performance of a new mask, the Gopher, Jordan proceeds to guess the contestant’s real identity. After admitting he is stumped, Jordan throws out some wild choices.

Beloved Will & Grace actor Leslie Jordan filmed the show’s episode earlier this summer. He passed away at the age of 67 last month in a tragic car accident.

“We are shocked and devastated by today’s tragic passing of Leslie Jordan,” The Masked Singer account tweeted. “Leslie carried an infectious exuberance, indelible sense of humor, and gifted us with countless memories that will last forever. We extend our most profound sympathies to Leslie’s family, friends, and fans.”

Community actor Joel McHale will also join Jordan at the judging table. He is stepping in for his former costar, Ken Jeong.

“Sadly you won’t be seeing my gorgeous face on this week’s Masked Singer as I had COVID, but thankfully I got better super quickly — thank you vaccines! But fortunately Joel McHale showed up, although no one invited him.”

In addition to the Gopher, Bride and Venus Fly Trap will battle it out in an attempt to make it into the semifinals.

See Leslie crack us up once again on The Masked Singer when it premieres Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
