We’re still swooning over Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine in this hilarious new blooper reel.
The fans have asked, and finally, Amazon has answered. Since the film premiered on the streaming service last month, audiences have begged for more. More Prince Henry, more Alex Claremont-Diaz, more chaos, more romance. Just more.
Now, fans have another 90 seconds of footage to savor, featuring steamy mishaps, wardrobe malfunctions, and impromptu singing moments.
Amid a passionate moment between Henry and Alex, Perez playfully disrupts Galitzine by blowing on his neck. “Head back to America!” he exclaims, pushing his co-star away. We love them so much! And so do the fans.
“ALL OF THIS FEEDS MY SOUL! I love Taylor and Nick’s chemistry SO MUCH. They were MADE to be Alex and Henry!” one user commented on YouTube.
“I just love how Nicholas basically communicates via memes,” wrote another.
Red, White and Romance
Red, White & Royal Blue is a captivating romantic comedy that explores the unexpected love story between Alex Claremont-Diaz, the First Son of the United States, and Prince Henry of Wales. When a PR disaster forces them to stage a fake friendship, their initial animosity evolves into a secret, passionate affair that could jeopardize both their nations. Amidst the glitz and glamour of political life, they must navigate family expectations, tabloid scandals, and their own personal fears to find a love that transcends borders and expectations. This heartwarming tale is a delightful blend of humor, politics, and romance, proving that love can conquer even the most formidable obstacles.
Will Red, White & Royal Blue Get a Sequel?
Director Matthew López initially interpreted the demand for more as a negative signal.
“There was a little period of time when I was like, ‘oh no, they don’t think my movie is sufficient,’” he told Gayety. “‘They don’t think it’s enough’. And I went, I’m an artist, and so there was a moment I was like, ‘they don’t like my movie.’ And then it took friends going, ‘you idiot. They love your movie and they love it so much. They want more.’
“And so I am very aware that this is hardly ever the way it goes. This is hardly ever the response, any movie gets, any play, any novel, and I’m just enjoying it. It’s the amount of time that was spent in creating this movie, not just by me, but by hundreds of people. The fact it has been sort of received and met with so much love and so much excitement that people can’t get enough of it, that they just watch it on an endless loop. It’s very gratifying and it’s very, very, it genuinely makes us all very, very happy. I mean, it just sounds like a silly, small thing to say, but it, it’s just feels very, very good when people like what you’ve made.”
Though a sequel is not in the works yet, it’s not off the table. It’s up to the leaders of these studios to accept the strikers’ demands.
“Look, the path to a sequel runs through the AMPTP, call Carol Lombardini and tell her you want a sequel, and the way to get a sequel is to get a fair deal for the actors and the writers.”
Red, White & Royal Blue is making massive waves across the cinematic landscape. Not only is it reigning supreme as the global favorite on Prime Video, but it has also secured a spot among the top three most-viewed romantic comedies in Prime Video history. The film’s impact goes beyond the screen – its release has sparked an impressive surge in new Prime membership sign-ups, a testament to its captivating allure. Garnering applause from both audiences and critics, the movie proudly displays a coveted “Certified Fresh” Tomatometer rating, and its Rotten Tomatoes audience score stands tall at an impressive 93%.
