Disney Developing a ‘Love, Simon’ Television Series

Rumor has it Disney is adapting Love, Simon for the small screen.

Remember when Love, Simon made you weep sweet queer tears of joy? Well, prepare yourself; the beloved gay teen rom-com is coming to the small screen.

According to PRIDE, Disney is producing a television series based on the film for its highly-anticipated streaming service, Disney+.

Earlier this year, Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, which means it now owns the rights to Becky Albertalli’s novel “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.”

Love, Simon screenwriters Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker and the This Is Us showrunners are reportedly working on the upcoming series. Also, Greg Berlanti is allegedly in talks to produce the series alongside Temple Hill Productions. Although Disney has put out a casting call, the original cast of the film has yet to be confirmed.

While no production or release date has been announced, our body is ready.
