Colton Haynes gives fans a preview of his upcoming memoir during live reading.
During a recent Instagram live, actor Colton Haynes sat down to share details on his upcoming memoir titled “Miss Memory Lane”.
Haynes gave fans an exclusive reading of the prologue, which he describes as “very mild.” He went on to summarize the darker tone throughout the rest of the memoir, which covers his history of abuse and addiction.

For the 33-year-old, writing this memoir was about more than selling a self-indulgent story of stardom. To him, it was about the human condition. Haynes says, “even if you aren’t a fan or know much about me, I really think there are a lot of things in the book that you guys can relate to.”
What is Colton Haynes’ Book “Miss Memory Lane” About?
Shortly into his Instagram live, Haynes emotionally describes this project as a love letter to his mother. Haynes’s mother passed away in 2018 after an ongoing battle with advanced liver cirrhosis.
While struggling with loss and his divorce from celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, Haynes found himself unable to manage his decade-long addictions. The result was in an involuntary psychiatric hold.

In “Miss Memory Lane” Haynes candidly documents the private struggles that attributed to his sobriety and a renewed sense of self.
Simon and Schuster, the book’s publisher, describe the work as “a lyrical and intimate confession, apology, and cautionary tale. An unforgettable story of dreams deferred and dreams fulfilled; of a family torn apart and rebuilt.”
