Having graced theaters in November, this film has swiftly garnered prestigious award nominations from the Golden Globes and Critic’s Choice.

The official synopsis reads, “Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.”

Viewers were left pondering whether what unfolded on screen was entirely Barry Keoghan or if he chose the prosthetic route for that particular scene. Gratefully, clarity has arrived. In a candid interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Eternals actor delved into the experience of filming that moment and shared his thoughts on baring it all.

“The initial thing was about me having no clothes on. I’m a bit, ehhh. But after take one, I was ready to go. I was like, Let’s go again. Let’s go again,’” he told the outlet.

“You kind of forget because there’s such a comfortable environment created, and it gives you that license to go, ‘All right, this is about the story now.”

Director Emerald Fennell said they filmed the scene 11 times to get the perfect take. She described the scene as “total f—ing evil joie de vivre that is impossible not to be on board with.” We could not agree more!

Keoghan candidly confessed to being taken aback by his own dance prowess.

“I didn’t know I could dance like that, by the way. I was like, ‘Wow. Where did them things come from?’ Do ya know what I mean?”

Ultimately, the scene proved to be the perfect ending to the wickedly good film.

“It totally felt right,” Keoghan concluded. “It’s ownership. This is my place. It’s full confidence in, ‘I can do what I want in this manor. I can strip to my barest and waltz around because this is mine.’ Yeah, it was fun.”

Saltburn is streaming now on Prime Video.
