Taylor Swift Casts Trans Model As Love Interest in New Music Video

Meet the new trans model who will star in an upcoming Taylor Swift music video!

Swifties, how are we feeling?

Taylor Swift dropped 13 new songs in her recent album, Midnights. Then, she released a new music video for the song “Antihero” AND dropped a teaser trailer for upcoming videos tied to each track. And THEN, Swift released Midnights – 3am Edition, which included SEVEN more songs. This is a lot to digest at once.

The teaser video features Taylors from every multiverse, including Taylor dressed in a 20s flapper dress, a 1700s ballgown, and many other sparkling ensembles. The video has glitz and glamour, but fans were really excited by this clip of Swift lying beside someone in bed. It’s shown for only a second, but it’s enough to have Swifties counting down for the next video release.

The person in the bed receiving a back rub from Swift is transgender model Laith Ashley. Swift tagged the model in the post, who then shared the video on his Instagram story. Ashley wrote, “You are a magic. Thank you for letting me play a small part in your story.”

Fans were thrilled that Swift’s love interest is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and sang their praises (and thirst) online.

Though Ashley is the only person to appear in the teaser apart from Swift, the teaser confirms several other stars who will feature. Jack Antonoff, Laura Dern, Mike Birbiglia, John Early, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Pat McGrath, Dita Von Teese, and the Haim sisters are all set to make an appearance.

Swift has not yet announced a premiere date for the videos, and they will likely drop without warning. Good luck, everyone!
