A RuPaul’s Drag Race alum is coming out!

Season 14 contestant Bosco took to Twitter to come out as trans on Thursday night! “I can’t really think of a better time to tell y’all so here it goes: I’m straight too,” she wrote while including the trans pride flag emoji. She was likely referencing the backlash Maddy Morphosis has received as the first cisgender, heterosexual drag performer on the series.

“I’m a very private person but it would feel silly to not talk about this while I have this platform,” she continued. “After filming wrapped this summer, I began focusing on figuring out what medical transitioning would look like for me. I started HRT after getting back from Drag Race.”

She said she had thought about transitioning for a while, saying, “this is something that’s been on my mind for over a decade now.”  “I’ve spent my adult life working in the food industry and have never felt financially secure enough to start this process. Honestly, I was also just flat-out terrified of how I’d be treated. I still am.”

Love, Bosco

Now, their life is in a place where they can be their authentic self.  “I’m now in a place where I’m surrounded by love and support,” she wrote. “Love from my heaven-sent boyfriend, stunning peers, and incredible friends. I’m not quite where I want to be yet, but I’m starting to see her [peek] through more and more.”

“I’m trans, my pronouns out of drag are she/they,” they noted. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Love, Bosco and her AAA sized titties.”

Since coming out, they changed their name on Twitter from Bosco to Transco. Congrats on living your truth, Bosco!
