Gay WWE wrestler Jake Atlas is making a comeback!
Atlas, whose real name is Kenny Marquez, made his wrestling debut in 2020, after becoming the first-ever active, out man signed to the WWE the year prior. However, in a now-deleted tweet from September, he announced he “simply can’t keep going anymore.” He said he was “stepping away from wresting” for the foreseeable future as he dealt with mental health struggles.

However, he’s back just four months later. This time, he’s taking to the ring as a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
AEW founder Tony Khan championed Atlas on Twitter, saying, “the superstar is back.”

If only everyone knew every detail leading up to this, Atlas wrote in response to Khan. “This means everything to me. Cliché but I REALLY have a lot to prove now. This year, whether you love me or hate me, you’re going to know me. It is what it is. Superstar is back.”
