Actor Armie Hammer, known for roles in “The Social Network” and “Call Me By Your Name,” revealed he experimented with same-sex encounters during a recent podcast episode.

Hammer made the disclosure during an interview with actress and mental health coach Dani Druz on his “Armie HammerTime Podcast.” He described an attempt to “hook up with a dude,” characterizing the experience as “hilarious.”

“I tried hooking up with a dude one time, and it was hilarious,” Hammer said, according to the podcast. “Because I was like, you know what? Gay dudes seem to have it so easy.”

Hammer recounted meeting a “handsome, French” man and deciding to explore the encounter. He described the physical aspects of the experience, noting his observations about the man’s beard and physique.

“I remember I started making out with him (…) just being like, ‘God, beards. I get why women like it when you shave. This thing is f*cking rough,'” Hammer said. “I put my arms around him, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, these shoulders are so wide. He’s so big. Like, he’s almost my height.’ Like, this is so strange. And it did, physically, for me, absolutely nothing. Not even a twitch.”

He further detailed the encounter, saying, “And then I remember that we were, like, making out, and it was kind of getting hotter and heavier. But I was going through the motions. He reached for my d*ck, and I was like, ‘You’re not gonna touch my flaccid penis.'”

Hammer attributed his motivation for the experiment to his feelings about dating women, stating, “Like, women are the worst.”

Hammer’s portrayal of a gay graduate student in the 2017 film “Call Me By Your Name” is among his most recognized roles. However, he has also faced significant controversy in recent years.

In 2021, multiple women publicly shared screenshots of alleged direct messages and text messages from Hammer, detailing violent and cannibalistic sexual fantasies. These allegations, made without consent, sparked widespread attention and scrutiny.

Prior to these revelations, in 2017, a woman accused Hammer of rape. Hammer has consistently denied any unlawful activity.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to file criminal charges in connection with the 2021 allegations, citing insufficient evidence.

Hammer has faced career repercussions following the allegations. He has been largely absent from major film and television projects since the accusations surfaced.

The actor’s podcast appearance marks one of his more public statements since the controversies arose. The podcast, which features interviews and discussions, provides a platform for Hammer to address various topics.

The disclosure of his same-sex encounter experiment adds another layer to Hammer’s public persona, already marked by both his acting career and the serious allegations against him.
