Get ready to close the summer with Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan in this “wicked tale of privilege and desire.”
On the surface, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn is a charming love story between Felix (Elordi) and Oliver (Keoghan), two Oxford students who spend the summer with Felix’s family at their country estate in England. But as the new trailer suggests, this tale has wicked surprises around every corner.
We love queer cinema!
Right off the bat, Oliver’s infatuation with Felix is clear, and it’s only made worse when he earns an invitation to spend the summer with the boy and his family.
“You think you’ll go home?” asks Felix. “Honestly, home doesn’t mean the same for me as it does for you, Felix,” replies Oliver. “Well, why don’t you come home with me?”
Queue the stunning English architecture, extravagant dinner parties, and perfectly posed family members. At first, Oliver seems entranced by it all. But everything crashes when he spots Felix passionately hooking up with a woman.
The trailer also gives a glimpse at Rosamund Pike as Felix’s mother Elsbeth, and Richard E. Grant as his father, Sir James. Carey Mulligan, Alison Oliver (Conversations With Friends) and Archie Madekwe (Grand Turismo) will also appear.
“I can honestly say that these last few months have been the happiest of my life,” Keoghan’s character says as a montage of chaos unfolds on screen.
Saltburn boasts production talents such as Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie, known for their work on Promising Young Woman and Barbie. With the anticipation of intense and passionate scenes, we’ll eagerly await Keoghan and Elordi’s captivating performances in Saltburn!
