Little monsters everywhere, Lady Gaga just took a lie detector test and said there may finally be a continuation to the iconic music video with Beyoncé.

Sitting down with Vanity Fair for the lie detector test, the musician hinted that there may be a potential follow up music video with the “Crazy in Love” songstress. When asked directly during the interview if it also involved queen herself, Gaga played coy with a simple ‘maybe.’

However, when prompted on when this follow up may come up, she stated simply ‘I don’t know” all while being truthful.

While celebrating the premiere of Gaga: The Chromatica Ball in Los Angeles in May of 2024, Lady Gaga was asked if she would consider creating a sequel to her iconic 2009 duet with Beyoncé, “Telephone,” after fans widely expressed their desire for a follow-up.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 38-year-old singer responded, “Whenever Beyoncé calls, I’d like to pick up the phone.” The comment has reignited speculation about the possibility of a sequel to the collaboration, which debuted on Gaga’s The Fame Monster album.

The song, which earned widespread acclaim, won an MTV Video Music Award for Best Collaboration and was nominated for a Grammy. Since its release, “Telephone” has remained a fan favorite, and earlier this year, rumors about a possible sequel began circulating when Beyoncé teased a new project. In February of that same year, the 42-year-old singer shared a trailer for her album Cowboy Carter, which featured visual similarities to the music video for “Telephone.” Fans quickly noticed the connection, including an introduction where Beyoncé is shown driving a yellow cab through the desert, with the passenger seat not fully visible.

This imagery immediately reminded fans of the iconic scene in the Telephone video, where Beyoncé drives a bright yellow P–y Wagon (a reference to Kill Bill: Volume 1) through the desert while picking up Lady Gaga, who had just been released from prison. The video famously ends with the phrase “to be continued,” leaving the door open for speculation about a potential sequel.

Though Gaga didn’t confirm a follow-up to the song, her playful response to the question suggests she remains open to the idea. As for the rest of her music career, Gaga shared that she’s constantly working on new material. “I truly live and breathe it,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I just can’t wait to give it to the fans.”

As fans eagerly await her upcoming seventh studio album ‘Mayhem’, fans are bopping out to the single ‘Abracadabra’ nonstop.
