Will Nick and Charlie be boyfriends even in adulthood? The Heartstopper cast is putting in their predictions.
We are days away from the season two premiere of Netflix’s popular queer drama series, Heartstopper, but we are already looking to the future.
The burly rugby player, Nick Nelson fell for the shy and nerdy Charlie Spring in season one. Ever since their hands first brushed and the audience saw the sparks between them fly, we have all been obsessed with knowing where their relationship will go next. In season two, Netflix has hinted that Nick is planning to come out as bisexual to more people and he and Charlie are still navigating what being boyfriends looks like for them.
Readers of the webcomic that the series is based on, by Alice Oseman, know a bit more about what the future has in store for the adorable couple. But with many more volumes still unwritten, nothing is set in stone. However, Locke and Connor are optimistic.
“The hope would certainly be that they’re still together,” Connor recently told The New York Times. Locke agreed with his costar and said he predicts the two will build a family together. “They’re meant for each other,” Connor added, saying, “Happy would be nice.” “Yeah. Just happy,” Locke said.
Season two of Heartstopper will hit Netflix on August 3. Read the official synopsis and watch the full trailer below.
