Heartstopper sensation Joe Locke dives into a thrilling new chapter, conjuring TV magic in Marvel’s spin-off series, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Brace yourself as Marvel unveils a sneak peek of Katherine Hahn reprising her role as the malevolent witch Agatha Harkness, with Joe Locke by her side at every twist and turn.
“We knew we had something special on our hands, but I think we were all flabbergasted by the reception,” Hahn said about WandaVision in a new video. The Disney+ series aired in 2021 and told the story of Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they live an idyllic suburban life in the town of Westview. However, not everything is as it appears. Enter Agatha.
It Was Agatha All Along
“People were hungry for something that felt nostalgic and something that everybody could sit around and watch and wait for on Friday nights,” Hahn continued. “Friday nights! Like who stays at home on Friday nights and watches something with their family?”
Though WandaVision was a limited series, the creators at Marvel said they knew they wanted to continue the story of one of the series lead characters. “I remember Kevin saying to me, like, ‘We really should think about having an actual Agatha show,’” said head writer Jac Schaeffer. “And I was like, ‘Where do I sign for that job?”
Who Will Joe Locke Play?
After months of swirling rumors, a tantalizing sneak peek of the spin-off has emerged, offering fans a glimpse into what lies ahead. Now, the burning question for us is unraveling how Locke seamlessly fits into the narrative!
Also joining Hahn in her coven of witches are Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahan. Many fans are hoping Locke will play a version of Billy, Wanda and Vision’s gay son who later goes by his superhero name Wiccan. However, LuPone revealed in a recent interview that Locke will play her familiar. I guess we will have to wait and see!
