Sorry Euphoria fans, the highly anticipated third season of the drama series has not even started production yet.
Euphoria famously follows a group of high school students navigating love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media. Fans were left heartbroken after the season two finale aired last February but were quickly brought back to life with the promise of a season three. However, there has not been an update in over a year. Until now…

During an interview with Vogue, Maude Apatow (who plays Lexi Howard) revealed that Euphoria S3 will not begin production until later this year. Wah wah.
Apatow revealed she dreamed of playing Audrey in the Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors. But because of Euphoria‘s filming schedule, it was not until after season two wrapped that she had an opportunity to make her dream a reality. Needless to say, we are thrilled for Apatow, but we will not be seeing what Rue and the rest of the group are up to for many more months.
Euphoria reportedly takes a long time to film, with one episode taking as long as one month to produce. If this is the case, fans will have to wait until later in 2024 to know the fate of the students at Euphoria High.

What Fans Can Expect From Season Three
It goes without saying, fans can expect a lot more drama in the next season. It is also worth noting that most of the cast will return, including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer (Jules), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Algee Smith (Chris), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Maude Apatow (Lexi) and Dominic Fike (Elliot). Unfortunately, Barbie Ferreira will not be back as Kat.

“I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character that she is today.”
