“Season five, y’all… we did it!” the actor cheered in his new Instagram post while sweating in a sauna.

Fox has renewed 9-1-1: Lone Star for a fifth season, proving that Tarlos really is forever. The show’s fate looked a bit bleak after the television network announced it would drop the parent series, which premiered in 2018 and ran for six seasons. Now, 9-1-1 is moving over to ABC, while the spin-off remains for at least one more season.

Fans of the show know Tarlos is the couple name given to the beloved gay couple TK Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos Reyes (Rafael Silva). At the end of season three, the two announced to their closest friends and coworkers that they were engaged and then spent most of season four planning the wedding. Last month, Rubinstein broke the news about when dedicated fans would get to see their favorites tie the knot.

“You’re all invited,” read the text on the video. It will all go down on May 16, 2023 during the 17th episode of season four!

Unsurprisingly, fans and actors are celebrating the news online. Even though Rubinstein appeared to be at a sauna when he heard, he still rushed to make a video for his followers.

“Thank you to everyone that helps making this show possible,” the shirtless actor said. “This show is a wild one, and it takes multiple villages to make it happen. Thank you to everybody involved: the cast, the writers, the producers, the directors, the crew, everybody. And to you guys, the best fans in the f*cking world… excuse my language, I’m just too hyped right now. I love you guys, this one’s for you.”

After everything Tarlos fans have been through, they deserve a wedding and all that comes after it! Because of the nature of the show, season five will undoubtedly have plenty of drama, but we can’t wait to see how married life treats Carlos and T.K.

New episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star premiere on Fox on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT.
