Harry Styles Waves ‘Make America Gay Again’ Flag at Concert

Harry Styles Performs On His European Tour At AccorHotels Arena, Paris

Harry Styles flies ‘Make America Gay Again’ rainbow Pride flag during concert.

Harry Styles has resumed his political crusade; he made a huge statement at a recent concert. On Friday, the former One Direction member was playing in Philadelphia when he found a fan’s homemade Pride flag draped over the barrier.

The singer, who has been an outspoken supporter of the LGBTQ community, spotted the fabulous flag in the audience and halfway through the show asked a security guard to hand it to him. While performing the One Direction hit “What Makes You Beautiful,” the former boy bander snatched the flag from a fan on the floor, Karla Balcazar, who captured the moment on Twitter.

The rainbow flag had the phrase “Make America Gay Again” scrolled across the stripes; undoubtedly a riff on President Donald Trump’s political tagline, “Make America Great Again”.

This isn’t the first time Styles has supported the LGBTQ community on stage. Touring the U.S. during Pride month, Styles has reportedly wrapped himself in rainbow flags, dedicated songs to male fans in the audience and worn AIDS awareness pins. Also, Style’s tour merchandise includes rainbow-themed “Treat People With Kindness” T-shirts that benefit GLSEN.

Earlier this year, Styles released his song “Medicine,” live onstage. The song’s lyrics include a line about messing around with boys and girls. Although Style’s told GQ that he’s “pretty sure” he’s not bisexual, the catchy lyrics had fans speculating about his sexuality. However, he did tell former bandmate Niall Horan “Don’t knock it till you try it,” in reference to having sex with men.
